This building was used during the Civil War as a hospital for Union soldiers. It is said that strange noises have been heard from time to time in the dining room. There are those who claim that the ghostly noises are the sounds of Satan driving back the souls of the unfortunate soldiers who died there, making them relive their last few moments of misery on earth.
